I was born in Shenzhen, one of the most vibrant tech hubs and metropolises in China, bordering Hong Kong.

When I was 15, I came to the U.S. by myself, first Texas for high school, Madison, Wisconsin for undergrad, and now Pittsburgh for my master's degree where I finally get to do what I love. And I will likely move across states again to California after graduating.

It took me a while to realize, back in undergrad, that I was always more passionate about how things feel and why they are the way they are rather than how they work, which was why I took the transition into design.

I find it fascinating how much of our everyday lives are powered by all kinds of design, and I'm always excited that I got to be one of the people behind the work.
